In Get Connected this week in Crosspath Kids, kids will learn that they can learn from their friends. The book of Titus is a letter from one follower of Jesus named Paul to his young friend, Titus. In Titus 1–2, Titus was encouraged to teach others to live for Jesus by being good examples and following good examples. Kids can know that they can learn from their friends—friends who love and follow Jesus. Tell your kids stories about people in your life that have encouraged you in your faith and shaped who you are today. Encourage your kids to look for friends who can lead by example when it comes to living for Jesus.

Join us tomorrow morning for our Family First Worship Sunday. We believe our children need to be a part of corporate worship and see their parents worship. We know it’s messy and challenging, but so so worth it.
“Children pay special attention to their parents. They learn by observing their parents and discerning what their parents deem important and what gives them delight. Bringing our children into worship lets them observe the importance and delight of corporate worship in the life of their parents. If they aren’t in worship, they won’t ever see that delight, and few things have greater effect on our children’s spiritual lives.” - JASON HELOPOULOS (The Gospel Coalition)

This week, kids got connected in community as they learned they could cheer on their friends. A follower of Jesus named Paul wrote a letter to encourage other followers in a placed called Philippi. In Philippians 4, Paul told them following Jesus wouldn’t be easy, but they could encourage and cheer on each other. When we cheer on our friends and remind them about the love of Jesus, it helps all of us love and follow Him. Create a fun cheer with your family, saying, “I love Jesus! Do you love Jesus?” and inviting them to say it back. Keep going and end with everyone saying, “We all love Jesus!”

Join us this Wednesday for our last week of Real Talk as we learn and celebrate that God values us. Matthew 19:13-15 and Mark 10:13-16 both tell the story of Jesus showing how much He values children. Where others may have dismissed children as unimportant and less valuable, Jesus welcomed the children and blessed them. Your kids can know that God sees them, knows them, loves them, and values them. He wants to have a relationship with them. This week, talk with your kids about the wonderful things you see in them and how they are a special and valuable part of your family.

Join us this Sunday in Crosspath Kids as we learn from Matthew 14:22-33 that God knows our real fears. While stuck in a boat in the middle of a storm, Jesus’ friends were shocked to see Jesus walking on water toward them! One friend, Peter, got out of the boat and started walking toward Jesus. But Peter grew afraid because of the storm and began to sink. Jesus reached out and rescued Peter, got into the boat, and calmed the storm. We can know that God knows our real fears and offers us peace and comfort. God knows our real fears, and He’s always with us!

Join us this Wednesday for our last week of Let’s Go! as we teach kids how they can grow in their faith. Our Bible story from Galatians 5–6 will show us that we can see how God is working in our lives through the way we live. When we trust and follow Jesus, we become more like Him. Jesus gave us the Holy Spirit to help us say no to sin and live in a way that honors God. Look up the list of what is called the fruit of the Spirit in Galatians 5:22-23. As a family, talk about the ones that feel easy and the ones that feel more difficult. Then pray and ask God to help your family grow in Him.

Instead, we can trust God with our emotions and our situations. The next time your kids are in conflict, remind them to breathe and turn their thoughts to God. Pray together and ask for God’s help to let go of anger and trust Him in those circumstances.
